Aimed at 8-14 year-olds, Eco-Kidz is a fun way for children to learn about the environment through hands-on outdoor learning, bushcraft and environmental education. Sessions are delivered by our trained Forest School and bushcraft leaders.

This is the seventh year that Instinctively Wild has been running these activity weeks in East Lothian. They have been hugely popular. Instinctively Wild is a social enterprise and nothing to do with East Lothian Council, other than we use Yellowcraigs to run the summer activity weeks, and we have been granted permission to post on this site, as previously we were contracted by the council to run the weeks.

Most of our other projects take place in the Scottish Borders, we run projects for anyone aged 4 to 84 years old, for example we are currently running Forest Schools/John Muir Award projects with schools and running an eco-therapy programme for clients with Dementia for NHS Borders.

Follow us on Twitter, (@instinctivelywi) or Facebook – bookings updates are often posted on LothianLoop.

The week is non-residential.

Timings: The day runs from 9-5pm.

Location: Yellowcraigs

Cost: £30 per child per day. £110 for the four days. Places are limited, places will fill up quickly. Book early to avoid disappointment!!

We provide hot drinks. We can also provide waterproofs and wellies with notice, please ask when booking.

Sorry we are not able to offer discounts for multiple family members or people on low incomes. Instinctively Wild is not a grant funded organisation and so every project has to cover itself. Child care vouchers cannot be used also, as we classed as an ‘activity provider’, not a child care provider.
