Instinctively Wild

Nature Journaling – Upper Tweeddale (Feb – November 2026).

Instinctively Wild CIC is delighted to have secured funding from SSE Clyde Borders wind farm to deliver three, eight week blocks on nature journaling in Upper Tweeddale.

Nature Journaling

This funding comes on the back of the successful pilot programme that we ran with funding from Destination Tweed. Pete Carthy wrote a detailed evaluation photobook, which you can read via Canva, please click HERE, to view it. Pete also made a film for the Preview evening, its pinned on the Instinctively Wild Instagram account.

‘Nature Journaling – Tweedsmuir’ was an eight week long (April-June 2025) nature journaling in watercolour art programme for local people. Delivered by nature journalist, artist, and our Founding Director of  Pete Carthy. Sessions took place in Tweedsmuir on Saturdays, from April – June 2025. Culminating in a group art show in August 2025 at Tweedsmuir Village hall.
